I know this community is for the city of Elmhurst, but I figured that I may be able to get some of my questions answered through here...

I am going to be a transferring sophomore, probably into the spring semester somewhere in Illinois--preferably the Chicago area. Elmhurst college is among my choices and, I would really just like some feedback. My major is pyschology--so I'm mostly looking for feedback on if this is a good school for psychology studies and what kind of school Elmhurst College is...?

Any feedback is very much welcome.

The website for Elmhurst College looks very inviting, and the psychology program looks good. I just won't be able to continue with my graduate studies there, because it looks like they only offer graduate studies for those who wish to continue into teaching. I want a clinical setting--I want to be a couselor. Which, I think, I am going to transfer to Boston University after I get my Bachelors.

But anyways, any one going to Elmhurst College who can provide some facts. Some advice. Anything.

Thank you very much.

Elmhurst Hangouts: Do They Exist? [31 Jan 2004|11:56am]

[ mood | bouncy ]

Can anyone recommend a cool and hip hangout in Elmhurst for a twenty-year-old? There do not seem to be many choices for a twenty-year-old college student unless said college student illegally uses an older individual's state identification. I prefer it be a place where I will not bump into fourteen-year-olds and/or any old and disliked high school classmates.

I am aware that this is a hard question to answer, but perhaps a sharp mind will read this and give me the answer for which I so desperately long. Please provide businesses and not people's houses as answers. Thanks!

Elmhurst a.k.a. New Town [06 Dec 2003|04:42pm]

[ mood | bored ]

I love Elmhurst and all, but there is something that is bothering me about it at the moment. I think everyone knows how there is nothing to do in that town, but it seems that they are trying to make it more of a town for young people.

I hear they are going to build a bowling alley where the Hallmark store is on York Road. Am I wrong about this? And they built that Chipotle at the town square. Plus they made the new library that sells coffee--- it sells coffee! Finally, they built a new state-of-the-art high school. Yes, York looks like a freakin' palace compared to when I went there.

The point that I am trying to make is: Why did they not do all of this when I was a teeny? Why did they not do this when I was growing up in this town? I am outraged! It's like they knew I was leaving so they decided to spruce up the place. Eh?

P.S. I'm bored.
